Not sure a repair should even happen? An ASIC miner inspection is the bench work that comes before any repair decision: full power-up, hashboard chain scan, log review and a written verdict. This paid service covers units where no repair follows — declined estimates, machines that test healthy on arrival, or a pre-purchase check ordered on its own.

Every ASIC miner inspection takes the same bench time whether a repair follows it or not. The unit is unpacked, opened, powered on a current-limited bench supply, run through a full diagnostic pass, then cleaned up, reassembled and repacked for return shipping. When a repair is approved, that time folds into the repair job. When it isn't — because the estimate was declined, or because the machine turns out to be perfectly healthy — the inspection stands as its own billed service. This page is that service.

Bench Test Checklist

• Controlled power-up on a bench PSU with inrush and rail-voltage monitoring
• Hashboard chain scan — ASIC count per chain read from the kernel log (e.g. spotting chain X has 0 asic or a short count against spec)
• Kernel log review for errors such as failed to read hashboard, voltage init faults, temperature sensor dropouts
• Fan, temperature sensor and PSU output check under load
• Visual board-level check for burnt components, corrosion, cracked joints and previous rework
• Firmware state and network bring-up confirmation

You declined the repair estimate

Diagnostics happened before the estimate could exist — the fault had to be found and scoped first. If you decide not to proceed, the diagnostic work is billed as this inspection service and the unit is repacked and returned. The exact conditions are set out in our Refund Policy and Terms of Service — this page doesn't restate them.

The unit arrived working

It happens more often than you'd think: a miner comes in under a fault claim, goes through the full intake and bench pass — and every chain reads a full ASIC count with clean logs. The usual culprits were never inside the machine at all: a site power problem, a network config issue, an overheating room. The unit still had to be unpacked, opened, tested, reassembled and repacked, so the bench time is billed as an inspection, and the report you get shows exactly what was tested and why the hardware is cleared.

You ordered an inspection on purpose

A standalone inspection is also something you can simply buy: a health check on a used miner before you commit to it, a second opinion on someone else's repair quote, or documented proof of condition before selling. This is the deeper of the two service tiers on this page — every hashboard, the PSU, the control board and cooling all get tested individually, because a purchase decision deserves a complete picture rather than a fault-hunt that stops at the first confirmed problem. Our Professional Inspection Process

What Happens After Intake

Intake photos → visual inspection → bench power-up and full diagnostic pass → written findings sent to you → your decision (approve repair, or return as-is) → cleaning, reassembly, anti-static packing and return shipment. Turnaround is 4–5 business days, the same as our repair services: inspection units move through the same intake and bench queue as everything else in the lab.

Diagnostics and Validation Equipment

Hashboards are checked on dedicated STASIC and ASIC REPAIR test stands that read ASIC count, chip communication and voltage domains directly — the same equipment used to validate finished repairs. Complete miners are additionally verified in a live power-and-network bench setup, so the verdict reflects real operating behavior, not just a visual once-over.
