Bitmain Warranty Denied? We Repair “Scrapped” S21 & L9 Hashboards in the USA

By

Bitmain warranty denied and your S21 Pro / S21 XP / S21+ / L9 board got labeled “scrap” or “unrepairable”? If there are no visible burn marks (no charring/blackening), we can still attempt a component-level repair in our USA lab (Florida). Typical turnaround is 4–5 business days. If your non-burned board can’t be repaired, we’ll credit $100 service-only store credit for that board.

When Bitmain Says “Scrap” or “Unrepairable”, What Does It Usually Mean?

Bitmain uses “scrap” language when they believe the board is not economical or not possible to repair under their after-sales process. In practice, users often see denial outcomes tied to physical/chemical damage (burning, corrosion/oxidation), “mixed board” situations, shipping damage, or other conditions that can void warranty.

Burn damage example: Visible charring/blackening usually means the board is scrap and not eligible for this program.

We’re a USA-based repair shop in Florida and we accept mail-in repairs from all states. We focus on component-level diagnostics and board repair for modern miners where downtime is expensive.

Eligible models

  • Antminer S21 Pro hashboard

  • Antminer S21+ hashboard
  • Antminer L9 hashboard

Not eligible (automatic reject)

  • Visible burn damage: charred/blackened PCB, melted areas, blown traces, obvious scorching

$100 Store Credit Guarantee (Service-Only, Per Board)

If Bitmain rejected your board as “scrap/unrepairable” and it has no visible burn damage, we’ll attempt repair. If we determine it’s not repairable after diagnostics, we will dispose of the board (we agree it’s effectively scrap) and issue $100 store credit per board.

Hard disclaimer (read this twice): The $100 credit is STORE CREDIT ONLY. It is not cash, not refundable, not transferable, and cannot be withdrawn or converted to any payment method. It can be used only for repair services on our site. It does not apply to physical products (fans, chips, parts, accessories, etc.). The store credit does not expire.

Real-world case: Bitmain “Scrap” S21 XP Hashboard Saved

Here’s a real example of why “scrap” doesn’t always mean “impossible.” Bitmain denied warranty for an S21 XP hashboard and labeled it as scrap. The customer sent the board to us. After inspection, we found 12 burned ASIC chips that needed replacement. In cases like this, Bitmain typically denies warranty.

Screenshot of a Bitmain notice stating a repair ticket item is “Scrapped” or “Mixed boards” and may be returned or discarded (warranty denial example)

Cost breakdown (example)

  • Board repair: $350
  • ASIC chips: 12 × $30 = $360
  • Total repair cost: $710

A brand-new replacement board from our partners at Altair was $1,149.

Savings vs buying a new board

  • New board: $1,299
  • Repair (no discount): $710
    • You save: $589 (about 45.3% vs new)

Savings if the 30% program discount applies

  • Repair labor after 30% discount: $350 − 30% = $245
  • ASIC chips: $360
  • Total repair cost with discount: $605
    • You save vs new: $694 (about 53.4% vs new)

Why Warranty Gets Denied (Most Common Reasons Users Run Into)

This is a practical list of what we see customers searching for after a denial, and what often shows up in “scrap/unrepairable” decisions:

1) Corrosion / oxidation / moisture damage

  • Humidity exposure, contaminated air, condensation, or “invisible” oxidation that becomes obvious under inspection
  • Corrosion can trigger “scrap” decisions even when the miner looks “fine” from the outside

2) Burn marks / overheated power circuits

  • Burned PCB areas, blown traces, burned connectors, burnt smell or blackened components
  • This is the most common “no-go” category for any serious repair attempt

3) “Mixed boards” and parts provenance issues

  • Boards swapped between miners, hybrid builds, or anything that makes original configuration unclear
  • This is extremely common in hosting environments and can lead to warranty denial

4) Shipping / packaging damage

  • Boards can crack, deform, or suffer impact damage during transport if not packed correctly
  • Damage during shipping often turns into a warranty dispute nobody wins

5) Process issues (tickets, delays, missing context)

  • Repair ticket rules, long turnaround, unclear communication, or delays that push users into “what now?” mode

What People Search After Bitmain Denies Warranty (SEO/AI Intent)

  • “Bitmain warranty denied what now”
  • “Bitmain marked my S21 board as scrap”
  • “S21 Pro unrepairable under warranty”
  • “S21 XP hashboard scrap repair USA”
  • “S21+ warranty denied board repair”
  • “L9 hashboard warranty denied repair shop”

Conclusion

If Bitmain denied your warranty claim and labeled your S21 Pro / S21 XP / S21+ / L9 hashboard as “scrap” or “unrepairable”, it doesn’t always mean the board is beyond recovery. If there are no visible burn marks, we can still attempt a component-level repair in our Florida lab with a typical 4–5 business days turnaround. If an eligible non-burned board turns out to be unrepairable, we’ll dispose of it and issue $100 service-only store credit per board (store credit only, not cash, not transferable, does not expire).

FAQ

Can a “scrapped” Bitmain S21 or L9 hashboard still be repaired?
Sometimes. “Scrap” in the Bitmain process often means they won’t repair it (or don’t consider it economical). If the board has no visible burn damage, a component-level attempt can still be possible depending on the failure type.
Do you accept boards with burn marks or blackened PCB areas?
No. If there are visible signs of burning/blackening or severe heat damage, the board is not eligible for this program.
Which models are covered by the $100 credit guarantee?
The $100 service-only store credit applies per board for S21 Pro, S21 XP, S21+, and L9 hashboards that have no visible burn damage and are determined to be unrepairable after diagnostics.
Is the $100 store credit cash or refundable?
No. It is STORE CREDIT ONLY. It is not cash, not refundable, not transferable, and cannot be withdrawn. It can be used only for repair services on our website and does not apply to physical products (fans, chips, parts, accessories, etc.). The store credit does not expire.
What happens to the board if it’s not repairable?
If the board is eligible (non-burned) but still turns out to be unrepairable, we will dispose of the board and issue $100 service-only store credit for that specific board.
Do you take mail-in repairs from any state?
Yes. We’re based in Florida and accept shipments from all U.S. states.
Who pays shipping?
Shipping to our lab and return shipping are paid by the customer. Use our packing guide to avoid shipping damage:
How to ship your Antminer repair (packing instructions)
How long does the repair take?
Typical turnaround is 4–5 business days after the board is received (most cases). Complex cases can vary, but we keep the process straightforward and documented.
Does this replace your normal repair services?
No. This page is specifically about warranty-denied / scrap-labeled boards. If you just need standard repair for your model, use the dedicated repair service page for that miner.
